Microsoft has released its biggest patch update ever including 18 patches, with 9 classed as ‘critical’ and a further 9 classed as ‘important’.
Microsoft’s latest bumper package of patches comes after a quiet start to the year in terms of updates, with no patches released in February at all. However, this latest update includes fixes for a reported 135 different vulnerabilities across Windows operating systems from Vista to Windows 10.
Patch updates are incredibly important in protecting your business. Hackers and cyber criminals are constantly working to uncover flaws in computer programmes and operating systems which they can use to steal, leak or destroy data, infect computers and even blackmail users for financial gain. Because of this, companies like Microsoft work around the clock to identify potential flaws in their systems and resolve them.
Here at ECL we have extensive experience in protecting businesses against the latest online threats including malware, adware, hacks, viruses, spam and phishing scams. We can offer support, keep you up to date with the latest patches and advise you on other important methods of protecting your business.
